A Concert to the Nations

There’s a concert in the air tonight.

Sweet music pours down on us,

flowing to the perfect rhythm

of God’s love.

Move your feet.

Clap your hands.

Hear the beat.

Feel the rain upon your face.

It’s not wet,

It’s His grace.

Christ understands our case, knows our needs and proportions the remedy to our situation, strengthening us and glorifying Himself.  When we are weak within, we have the option to reach out and be lifted by the grace and strength of god.  His grace is a manifestation of His power allowing us to exceed what we could not achieve by our own labors.  We know how to live in commonality, but the Lord has uncommon opportunities for us, so we must stretch beyond ourselves.

God, as an omnipotent and omnipresent force, sees the bigger picture.  “Call out to Me and I will show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV)  We become empowered as we place our lives in His hands.

The Force of Favor

“Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants.” Ruth 2:13

Favor carries a genetic code to produce a particular purpose of God. The favor Ruth experienced in Boaz’ field garnered her provision for her family. But God had more in mind than Ruth and Naomi’s immediate needs and survival. God had chosen Ruth to be in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. He gave her favor because he wanted Ruth to come to the attention of Boaz, to be brought into intimacy with Boaz, and to have a child of promise on whom would rest all of creation’s destiny.

The favor that Ruth experienced is the favor that the Lord wants to give you. We are in a kairos time to enter into God’s supernatural grace and favor.

Favor is a force that produces increase and promotion (Gen. 39:21). It produces restoration of everything the enemy has stolen (Ex. 12:36). It brings honor in the midst of your enemies (Ex. 11:3). Favor produces increased assets, especially in the area of real estate (Dt. 33:23). Favor produces great victories in the midst of great impossibilities (Josh. 11:20). Favor produces recognition even when it seems least likely (1 Sam. 16:22). Favor produces prominence and preferential treatment (Esther 2:17). Favor produces petitions granted and causes policies, rules, and regulations to bend (Esther 5:8). Favor brings victory (Ps. 44:3).

Favor, and More Favor

The way favor works is like faith. To the measure that you activate and move forward in the favor you have received, the more that measure of favor will increase. There’s glory and more glory. Grace and more grace. Jesus is our pattern. He “increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Lk. 2:52). Where there’s one measure of favor, there is room for more. The initial deposit of favor in your life is just a sign that there is something greater.

Often people will miss out on the greater destiny because they camp out to enjoy the intermediate favor. Favor is not a resource to be indulged in for one’s personal agenda. It has purpose. Be thankful, rejoice, bless the Lord for the work of His favor in your life, but recognize and seek out its purpose. This is the key to walking in favor. The more you stay in harmony with God’s purposes the more you will continue to flow in favor to achieve God’s intended purpose and destiny. Steward favor and it will increase more and more.

The Signature of Favor

“Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in your sight. Consider too that this nation is your people." And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." And he said to him, "If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?" (Ex. 33:12-16).

The sign of a people who are favored by God is His presence. We see it manifest in the anointing that rests on individuals. We see it demonstrated in miracles, signs, and wonders. It is a magnetic quality of character that gives another dimension of authority and life to our actions or words. It is the signature of God’s favor that opens doors, moves mountains, and propels us to destiny. As we draw closer to Him, His glory spills over into every area of our life.

How do we stay in His presence? We enter in through the blood of Jesus. We cultivate an atmosphere of praise, faith, and thanksgiving. We seek first His kingdom and not our own agendas. We stay in fellowship with other believers. We stay immersed in His word, and connected to sound teaching and doctrine in our local church. We love the Holy Spirit, communing with the Lord as we speak in our prayer language, read His Word and pray.

Activating Favor

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with shield” (Ps. 5:12).

Favor is like a shield that gives you full 360 degrees of protection. We can imagine it like the glory bubble we often talk about. Wherever you are, there is favor. In front of you, behind you, above and beneath you. It is an atmosphere of God’s presence that surrounds you and everything you do and say like the atmosphere that surrounded Ruth. Therefore, it is important to define yourself according to God’s favor. If someone sees your back, they are seeing the favor of God. So don’t agree with negative thinking, despair, or defeat. Favor is an expectancy that you will be treated according to the blessing and power of God. Let your life be defined by the force of favor, and become what you believe.

You can start practicing putting on this shield of favor every day. It’s like spiritual body armor. Where God’s favor is there is increase in wealth, finances, anointing, relationships, and open doors of opportunity. Speak favor over your spouse and your children. Speak favor over your business, your clients, employees, and finances. Speak favor over your house, your cars, your dogs and cats.

In Job 10:12, at a time that everything was going wrong, Job says, “You have granted me favor, O Lord.” That was his declaration then, and his declaration all the way through the valley. Thirty-two chapters later he receives his deliverance, and God restores double to him for all he lost. No matter what your current circumstances, consistently declare favor in every situation.

At the beginning of 2012, we felt like the word God had for us as individuals and corporately was “The Year of God’s Favor.” The Message Bible translates it this way, “This is God’s year to act!” We wrote the following declaration to agree with God’s prophetic season and release it over our lives and our community of faith. We encourage you to step into the kairos moment God has for you today, and begin declaring God’s favor and blessing. Make it a habit, like a prescription, that you take every day. There is spiritual authority and power in your word. God wants to release a fresh generation of sons and daughters who walk in His favor.

This is God’s year to act for me and my family, in our health and finances, in our home and business, in our relationships and faith-walk, in my church, in my city, & in my nation!

I have God’s appointment for favor in everything I pursue, for influence with everyone I speak, for power over every opposition, for breakthrough where there is delay, for open doors, open hearts, & open season in all matters concerning me, for success and increase in all I lay my hand to, with blessing overtaking me now.

I am living in permanent revival, going from glory to glory, Christ is proclaimed through me in all things, miracles are happening around me at all times & God’s kingdom is advancing everywhere I go!

A prayer for the Nations

Friday is Islam's holy day, much like Sunday is to Christians. Today, millions of people will stream into mosques around the world, face Mecca, and offer the prescribed prayers. Please pray that as many go about their typical prayer routine that those with hearts hungry for God will receive visions and even dreams of Jesus. Please pray that Jesus will connect believers with those that receive these dreams and visions and that they in turn will turn their hearts over to Jesus. Please pray that those countries that now boast Islamic domination will one day bow their knees to Jesus.

Hebrews 6:16-17 "... Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath."
God promised Abraham that he would receive blessings and that he, in turn, would become a blessing to all the families of the earth. After Abraham had demonstrated his faithfulness to the Lord by his willingness to offer his son, Isaac, to the Lord, (Genesis 22), God confirmed the promise with an oath. This is the event referred to by the writer of Hebrews, who affirms that the reason for the oath was to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear. God is committed by oath to bless His people, and through them to bless every family (people group) of the earth.
Thank the Father for making His purposes so clear to us, the heirs of the promise to Abraham.

 

Today's People Group

For centuries, the Vishwakarma Brahmins have shown their excellence in artistry. Their name derives from the Sanskrit term for the presiding deity of all architects, craftsmen, and the Lord of Creation. They excel as blacksmiths, sculptors, copper workers, gold-smiths, and carpenters. It is customary for Vishwakarma artisans to worship their tools in the name of this deity.

Under most circumstances, the Vishwakarma Brahmins have traditionally been able to enjoy a middle to a high level of wealth in India. Current economic and technological forces have, however, moved the Vishwakarma to a lower economic class because there is less demand for the handmade items that they have traditionally produced.

In some cases this has disrupted their lives significantly. Those Vishwakarmas who are having hard financial times can receive aid from the Vishwakarma Service Society, an organization that exists for such needs. Those who live in small villages are especially vulnerable to poverty. Vishwakarma Brahmins are generally able to earn a higher wage in towns where there is factory employment.


Pray that the Vishwakarma Brahmins will see the inadequacy of material possessions and what their own hands can create. Pray that they will soon look to the God who created them with His own hands. Pray that they will learn about Jesus so that they can have a personal relationship with the loving God.-JR

Family Circus

Darrell and Sandi Blatchley founded an incredible ministry called Family Circus.  Located in the Philippines, this Circus Tent creates high impact, joyful methods to present the Gospel to children and to their families.  The purpose is to bring the life and joy of Jesus, combining both discipleship and evangelism, to reach lost children, while ministering to the needs of the child, both spiritual and physical.  Each week 5-6 thousand people of all ages attend the church services held under the “Big Top’  in the center of the densely populated Davao City.  Many are malnourished.  Some are pregnant.  All are provided free dental care, food assistance, vitamins & first aid.  Scripture memory and dramatized sermons are the foundation of each service and prayer lines are always open. 

 A government official from Davao City’s food and drug office recently inspected Family Circus, a children’s outreach developed and directed by missionaries Darrell and Sandy Blatchley. As she toured the campus, the official was amazed by the ministry’s tents, dental lab, food distribution center, fishpond and gardens. “I’ve never seen anyone help children like you do,” she said.
