I see little foxes gnawing on the
roots of our grapevines.
I believe many people are grappling
right now with the insignificant (or not) distractions of the world. Familiarity drives us to battle from a wordly
place rather than from our kingdom personage. We take our eyes off of God, we
lose our concentration, and we become frustrated or disjointed. We breathe in the pollution of the air
surrounding us and expect it to co-mingle with the breath of life. But we must feed the breath; like the deer
that panteth by the water. The Lord
wants us to live life in His abundance & to do that we must cling to our
true home & it’s environment.
I perceived a vineyard with one great vine standing firm and
strong, & watched the river of life flowing up and down within the trunk,
but the branches were sagging, gnarled, thirsty and weary of pushing out too
far from their source of nourishment. I
saw a hand come down. It squeezed one
limb until the water rushed through like a just-released dam. Immediately it became green, budded and the
leaves stood at attention, opening and facing upward. It burst open & the life-giving water
splashed on other limbs which also began to ‘come alive’ immediately bearing
fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
The Voice (VOICE)
7
But
blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone;
the Eternal will be his confidence.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots beside the stream.
It does not fear the heat or even drought.
Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.
the Eternal will be his confidence.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots beside the stream.
It does not fear the heat or even drought.
Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.
In times of the little foxes, those who trust in human beings will be
impoverished and weak so they will have no strength to draw on; but those who
trust in the Lord’s abundant strength have not only enough for their own needs
but even for the needs of others.
