Eden's Song is so excited to share this incredible testimony (from the Intercessor and World Report) of what our friends Darrell and Sandy are doing in the Philippines! Their knowledge of aquaponics is amazing. We share more information about these projects on our website at www.edenssong.org or visit the Family Circus website www.familycircus.org.
PHILIPPINES: A government official from Davao City’s food and drug office recently inspected Family Circus, a children’s outreach developed and directed by missionaries Darrell and Sandy Blatchley. As she toured the campus, the official was amazed by the ministry’s tents, dental lab, food distribution center, fishpond and gardens. “I’ve never seen anyone help children like you do,” she said.
About 5,000 of Davao City’s 750,000 children are homeless, and many of them call Family Circus their home church. Besides meeting spiritual needs, the ministry feeds 1,000 malnourished children, widows, and pregnant and nursing mothers daily.
Each weekend Family Circus church services reach 5,000 people. The Blatchleys and their team of workers lead people to salvation and pray for the sick. “About 85 percent of those attending accepted Christ at Family Circus,” says Darrell. “Adults and children, some as young as 6 years old, have been baptized in the Holy Spirit.”
Recently the Blatchleys attended the funeral of two children from Family Circus who had drowned. Scores of children from the ministry also attended. When an uncle of the two children, a minister from another fellowship, asked those gathered if they knew where they would spend eternity, the children replied, “Heaven, because Jesus forgave our sins.” Amazed, the minister asked where they learned this. The children replied, “Family Circus!”
